Uncommon Unity
HSC was launched in 2015 with a simple but powerful vision: through a relationship with Jesus, we can overcome the divisions and barriers that so often separate us.
At HSC, we believe Jesus brings people together. Our desire is to lead everyone into a life-giving relationship with Him and to create a community where people can belong, grow, and experience life together.
Community mattered to Jesus, and it matters to us. It’s more than something we do—it’s at the core of who we are. We believe that when we follow Jesus together, we discover a kind of unity that is uncommon, life-giving, and stronger than the labels and walls that try to divide us.

What We Believe
ABOUT THE BIBLE
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and His word is our guide and authority for doing life in this world.
ABOUT GOD
We believe there is one true God, eternally existing in three equal persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is 100% God and yet 100% man, and was crucified on the cross to cover our sin. Jesus was raised three days later, defeating sin and death.
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit works within us to comfort us, to teach and guide us, and to move us into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
ABOUT SALVATION
We believe that salvation can only come through the gift of God’s grace when we put our faith and trust in Jesus.
ABOUT BAPTISM
We believe in baptism as an outward expression of an inward commitment to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
ABOUT COMMUNION
We believe that we, the church, are to regularly celebrate The Lord’s Supper to remember Jesus.

We believe all human beings were created by God in His own image, and therefore have dignity and great worth because they are valued by God. Therefore, we are committed to value and love others as Jesus loves us.
